After 25 years of restoration, the Dresden State Art Collections are presenting the completely rebuilt Damascus Room for the first time. The richly decorated reception room is considered a unique example of Syrian decorative art and is to once again become a place of encounter in Dresden.
The documentary, made in close cooperation with the museum, reflects on the history of the Damascus Room and its extensive restoration. The film poses the question of what the presentation of a historical reception room means for a museum of the present.

The GEGENkino Festival is an annual international film festival in Leipzig since 2014. Working collectively and driven by cinephile passion, it aims to challenge entrenched viewing habits with unusual perceptions. The presentation of film and video art goes beyond a classical screening.
In 2022, the festival screened the Japanese silent film classic A page of madness, narrated live and set to music by benshi Ichiro Kataoka and pianist Reiko Emura. In the preceding panel discussion, the profession as a benshi was discussed, but also the Kataoka Record Project. Kataoka had given his collection of 3900 Japanese shellac records to the University of Bonn in 2012. The worldwide unique collection includes records from the years 1915 to 1950, mainly from the film and entertainment culture of Japan of those years.
We filmed the panel discussion as well as impressions from the live scoring and created a documentary of the evening.

The project MUSAIK. Jazz in Fugen took place on 4 September 2021 as a musical prelude to the cultural opening of the historic prayer rooms at the Marktkirche Halle (S.). As part of the ERDF concept for the renovation and upgrading of the Marktkirche Halle, which is an individual monument and cultural heritage site, the approx. 8 square metre rooms, which can be opened to the outside space on both sides of the church, are being reactivated. After the renovation of the Marktkirche in accordance with the preservation order, parallel to or following the building site period, the connection to the urban space will also be sought in the future through cultural formats and building site art. We filmed the musical opening of the event series.

The happening 30 Hours Round Table in cooperation with the Leipzig Women’s Festival brought together social initiatives and citizens on the Leipzig market square on 25 and 26 June 2021 to jointly set an example for social participation and gender justice. Based on the voices of the GDR women's movement of 89/90, the action created a space for remembrance, in which the future was negotiated with each other at the same time.
With the documentation of the event, we have produced a manual on how 30h Round Table works, or could work.

A utopia - what does it actually look like? How can it be imagined, experienced or tested?
For six days, the grassroots-organised congress worked on drafts for a social-ecological utopia. Due to the Corona pandemic, the congress took place mainly online. Besides panel discussions, there was a broad art and cultural programme that creatively asked questions about a just, ecological and feasible future.
We accompanied the congress in its various facets on all days and produced a short documentary, a video for the fundraising campaign and various social media clips.

For the web edition of the Balance Club / Culture Festival Leipzig 2020 we accompanied the recording of three video DJ sets in front of green screen and realized their post production.
The Festival sees itself as an interface between club culture and social criticism. By interweaving discourse, art and club, it creates the possibility to explore counterculture in its many facets and to enable political debates. Balance is offensive, interdisciplinary, feminist, performative and hybrid.

Under the guiding principle of Open Factory, the Internationale Bauausstellung (IBA) Thueringen is developing the Eiermannbau in Apolda into a place for many and many things. Through innovative reuse and reinterpretation, the icon of industrial modernism is to be brought back into the public consciousness, the potential of the district town of Weimarer Land is to be strengthened, and added value is to be generated beyond the town of Apolda.
For the kick-off of the Open Factory 2020, we realized a film that presents the site as a future working and creative place with workshops, studios, offices, businesses and productive open spaces.

The Bauhaus Archive Berlin, the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation and the Klassik Stiftung Weimar are the institutions with the three largest Bauhaus collections in the world. However, the Bauhaus is not only a national heritage, but also an international one. Bauhaus objects and collections are scattered all over the world. The closure of the Bauhaus by the National Socialists, the defamation of their works as "entartet", fleeing and emigration have led to Bauhaus objects being collected worldwide.
The international conference Collecting Bauhaus from December 2 - 5, 2019 shows that the new Bauhaus Museum Dessau is part of a worldwide network of museums with Bauhaus collections. The participants exchanged views on the multifaceted provenances of the collections as well as the different exhibition and mediation strategies and, based on this, discussed questions of a global Bauhaus historiography. And finally, it was important to think about how the global interconnections can be made fruitful for a Bauhaus museum in the 21st century.
We documented the conference and edited lecture and discussion sequences from it.

The Werkleitz Festival 2019 in Dessau-Roßlau takes a look at the legacy of the Bauhaus from the perspective of current artistic productions and is inspired by the mutually facing tensions between the concepts of model and ruin.
For the festival, we conceived and produced interview films with the participating artists as well as the festival trailer.
